what the bible says about who rules the world
The Bible is very clear that God is the ruler of the world. Psalm 24:1 says, “The earth is the Lord’s, and the fullness thereof; the world, and they that dwell therein.” God is the creator and sustainer of all things, and He is in control of all that happens in the world.
God is in control
No matter what is happening in the world around us, we can have hope and peace because we know that God is in control. He is the sovereign Ruler of the universe, and nothing happens without His permission.
When we trust in God, we can rest assured that He is working out His perfect plan for our lives—even when things seem confusing or difficult. And when we follow God’s plan for our lives, we can be confident that He will give us everything we need to succeed.
The Bible provides many assurances that God is in control of all things. Here are just a few:
“The LORD reigns, he is robed in majesty; the LORD is robed in majesty and armed with strength; indeed, the world is established, firm and secure.” (1 Chronicles 16:27)
“He does as he pleases with the powers of heaven and the peoples of the earth. No one can hold back his hand or say to him: ‘What have you done?’” (Daniel 4:35)
“All the peoples of the earth are regarded as nothing. He does as he pleases with all who live in heaven and on earth. No one can hold back his hand or say to him: ‘What have you done?’” (Daniel 4:35)
I will lift up my eyes to the hills—from whence comes my help? My help comes from the LORD, who made heaven and earth.” (Psalm 121:1-2)
Jesus is the ruler
The Bible speaks very clearly about who is in control of the world. Jesus Himself said in Matthew 28:18, “All authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth.” This means that Jesus is the absolute ruler of the entire universe. He is the One who has all power and all authority.
The apostle Paul also wrote about this in Ephesians 1:21, saying that God has “put all things under His [Jesus’] feet, and gave Him to be head over all things to the church.” This means that Jesus is in control of everything in the world, and He has delegated some of His authority to His church.
So, what does this mean for us? It means that we can have confidence that Jesus is fully in control of everything that happens in the world. He is sovereign over all rulers and all nations. no matter what happens in the world, we can trust that Jesus is still on His throne and He is still in control.
what this means for us
In Genesis 1:26-28, God gives man dominion over the earth and all that is in it. This means that we are to rule over creation, not be ruled by it. We are to be good stewards of what God has entrusted to us. This is a great responsibility and one that we must take seriously.
we should trust God
The bible says a lot about who God is and what He does. In it, we learn that He is all-powerful, all-knowing, and always present. We also learn that He created the world and sets things in order. Because of this, we can trust Him to take care of us and guide us through whatever situation we might face.
we should follow Jesus
As Christians, we are called to follow Jesus. This means that we are to imitate His life and character. We are to live as He lived. This is not always easy, but it is what God has called us to do.
Following Jesus means that we are to love as He loved. He loved unconditionally and completely. He loved those who were considered unloveable by society. We are to do the same.
Following Jesus also means that we are to serve as He served. He came not to be served, but to serve. He gave His life in service to others. We are called to do the same.
When we follow Jesus, our lives will be radically different from the world around us. We will live lives of love and service, just as He did.
how this affects our daily lives
the Bible says in Revelation that the Antichrist will rule the world for 7 years before Jesus comes back and takes over. This means that Satan will be in charge of the world for 7 years and will be able to do whatever he wants.
we should obey God
The Bible tells us that we should obey God rather than people (Acts 5:29). This means that even if our government or others in positions of authority tell us to do something that goes against what God says, we should disobey.
It can be hard to know what the right thing to do is when we are faced with conflicting instructions from different people in positions of authority. However, we can trust that God will give us wisdom and guidance if we ask for it (James 1:5).
When we obey God, even when it goes against what others tell us to do, we are showing our trust in him. We are also demonstrating that we believe he knows what is best for us, even when we may not understand why he is asking us to do something.
we should share the gospel
The gospel is the good news that Jesus Christ, the Son of God, died on the cross for our sins and was raised to life again. He did this so that we could be forgiven and have eternal life.
When we share the gospel with others, we are giving them the opportunity to know Jesus and experience the forgiveness and eternal life that he offers. This is the best news anyone could ever hear!
