where are we in prophecy
It is difficult to say with certainty where we are in prophecy. Many believe that we are in the “end times” but there is no concrete evidence to support this claim. There are a variety of signs that people point to, but none of them are conclusive. The most we can say for sure is that we are living in uncertain times.
the tribulation
The tribulation is the period of time spoken of in Revelation chapters six through nineteen when God will pour out His wrath upon the world for its sin. This time will be the most horrible time in all human history. We are not told exactly when it will begin, but we are given some clues. Jesus said that He would come like a thief in the night. He also said that as it was in the days of Noah, so it will be at His coming. In Noah’s day, people were going about their everyday lives, eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day Noah entered the ark. Then the flood came and swept them all away. In like manner, people will be going about their everyday lives when suddenly the tribulation will begin. At that time, God will pour out His wrath on sinners in a way that has never been seen before or since. The tribulation will last for seven years and at its conclusion Jesus Christ will return to earth to set up His kingdom.
the great tribulation
The great tribulation is a time of trouble spoken of by Jesus Christ in the Bible. It is a time of intense persecution that will come upon the entire world. The great tribulation will be a time when the Antichrist will reign over the earth and will persecute those who do not worship him. The great tribulation will last for seven years and will end with the return of Jesus Christ.
the end times
No one knows the day or the hour when Christ will return, but we are given signs to look for that will indicate His return is near. We see these signs taking place in our world today and so we know that Christ’s return is drawing near.
The Bible tells us that in the end times there will be a great apostasy, or a falling away from the faith. We see this happening today as more and more people are rejecting the Truth of God’s Word and instead embrace false teachings.
Another sign of the end times is that there will be increasing natural disasters. We see this taking place all over the world as we experience earthquakes, tsunamis, hurricanes, and other catastrophic events with greater frequency and intensity.
There will also be wars and rumors of wars. We see this happening right now as tensions rise between different nations and there is talk of nuclear war.
These are just some of the signs that tell us we are living in the end times. Christ’s return is drawing near, and so we must be prepared. We must make sure our sins are forgiven and that we have entered into a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. If you have not done this, I urge you to do so today. what is the tribulation
The tribulation is a time of great trouble spoken of in the Bible. It is a time when God will pour out his wrath upon the world. The tribulation will last for seven years, and it will be the worst time in history.
the seven years
The tribulation is the seven years that will follow the rapture of the church. It will be a time of worldwide suffering and judgment, culminating in the return of Jesus Christ to earth.
During the tribulation, God will pour out His wrath on humanity in response to their continued rebellion against Him. The tribulation will be a time of great suffering, with plagues, famines, wars, and natural disasters wreaking havoc on the earth. But it will also be a time of great spiritual revival, as millions of people turn to Jesus Christ in repentance and faith.
The tribulation will end with the return of Jesus Christ to earth. He will defeat His enemies and establish His everlasting kingdom. And all who have put their trust in Him will enjoy everlasting life in His presence.
the great tribulation
The great tribulation is the time of Jacobs trouble foretold in scripture. It is a time of intense persecution and suffering that will come upon the whole world, but will be especially severe for Gods people. The great tribulation will be unleashed when the antichrist appears on the scene and sets up his kingdom. The tribulation will last for seven years, and will culminate in the return of Jesus Christ to defeat the antichrist and establish His kingdom on earth.
the end times
The tribulation is a time of great turmoil and distress that will occur before the second coming of Jesus Christ. It is described in the Bible as a time of great tribulation, such as has not been seen before or since. The tribulation will be a time of war, famine, disease, and death. It will be a time when the Antichrist will reign over the world and will persecute those who refuse to worship him.
what is the great tribulation
The great tribulation is the time of Jacobs Trouble spoken of in the Bible. It is a time of great tribulation, such as has not been since the beginning of the world until this time, no, nor ever shall be. It is a time when the wrath of God will be poured out upon the earth.
the seven years
The great tribulation is the seven-year period of intense tribulation mentioned in the Bible. It is directly preceded by the Rapture of the Church and unleashed when the Antichrist breaks his covenant with Israel at the midpoint of Daniel’s 70th week.
During this time, God will pour out His wrath on the earth in judgments known as the Seal judgments, the Trumpet judgments, and the Bowl judgments. These judgments are described in detail in Revelation chapters 6-16.
The great tribulation will be a time of unparalleled trouble for the earth. Jesus Himself said that it will be a time of such trouble that “unless those days were shortened, no flesh would survive” (Matthew 24:22).
The great tribulation will end with Jesus Christ return to earth in power and glory to defeat His enemies and establish His millennial kingdom (Revelation 19:11-21).
the great tribulation
It is important to first establish what the tribulation is not before we attempt to understand what it is. Many Christians believe that the tribulation is a time when God will pour out His wrath upon the wicked and that believers will be exempt from this time of judgement. The events surrounding the tribulation, however, do not support this view. The tribulation is not a time of God’s wrath poured out upon the wicked. It is a time of God’s judgments poured out upon the world in general and Israel in particular.
The Greek word for tribulation is thlipsis which means “pressure, affliction, distress, or persecution.” It is derived from the root word thlibo which means “to press.” The word was used in secular Greek to describe crushing weights and pressing taxes. In the New Testament it was used to describe various forms of persecutions suffered by Christians (Acts 7:10; 14:22; Rom. 5:3; 8:35; Matt. 13:21; 24:9).
The tribulation period is also known as “the time of Jacob’s trouble” (Jer. 30:7). This indicates that this time of trouble will be especially severe for Israel. In fact, all of God’s judgments during this seven-year period will fall primarily on Israel and the nations allied with her (Ezek. 38-39).
The tribulation period can be divided into two parts:
The first part, often called “the judgment of the saints,” lasts for 3 1/2 years and involves all believers who are alive on earth at that time (Rev. 14:14-20). These believers will go through great trials and suffering during this time, but they will also be protected from God’s worst judgments (Rev. 7:3,14).
The second part, often called “the great tribulation,” also lasts for 3 1/2 years but includes only those unbelievers who are left alive on earth at that time (Rev. 15:1; 16:1-21). These people will suffer terrible judgments from God during this time, culminating in their being cast into hell at the end of the Tribulation (Rev. 19:20).
the end times
The great tribulation is the last seven years of the current age before Christ returns. It is also known as the Tribulation, Tribulation period, or Tribulation years. It is a time of judgement upon unbelievers, and a time of testing and purification for believers. The great tribulation will be initiated by the Antichrist signing a seven-year peace treaty with Israel (Daniel 9:27). Three and a half years into the Tribulation, the Antichrist will break that treaty and begin to persecute Israel (Daniel 7:25, Revelation 12:6, 13:7). The great tribulation will culminate in the Battle of Armageddon, when Christ will return to earth to defeat the Antichrist and his armies (Revelation 16:14-16).
