What god requires of me

Theology

In order to understand what God requires of us, we must first understand who God is. God is the creator of the universe and everything in it. He is all-powerful, all-knowing, and all-good. He is the standard of goodness, and he requires us to live up to that standard.

Who is God?

Some Christians believe in the Trinity, which is the doctrine that states that there is one God in three persons, namely, the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. Other Christians believe in mono-theism, which is the belief in one God.

What is man’s relationship to God?

Christian theology is the study of Christian belief and practice. Such study concentrates primarily upon the texts of the Old Testament and of the New Testament, as well as on Christian tradition. Christian theologians use biblical exegesis, rational analysis and argumentation, and sometimes systematic examination of doctrine to understand, explain, test, critique, defend or promote any myriad of religious topics.

Systematic theology draws on multiple disciplines, including history, philosophy and sociology. Systematic theology may be friend or foe to Biblical exegesis; it may promote or oppose restrictions on religious liberty; and it may encourage or discourage dialogue with people of other religions.

What does God require of me?

In the Old Testament, the Hebrew word for “righteous” is tsdaq and it means “to be just, to be fair.” It’s interesting that this word is used in the context of human relationships and not just our relationship with God. The Scripture says over and over again that God requires His people to be fair in their dealings with others. In the New Testament, the Greek word for “righteous” is dikaios and it means “upright, virtuous, conforming to a standard.” So when we’re dealing with God’s standard of righteousness, we’re talking about conformity to what is right in God’s eyes.

We can see throughout Scripture that there are two ways of looking at righteousness. The first way is through our own efforts. We can try to be good enough on our own, but we will always fall short. The second way is through faith in Jesus Christ. When we put our trust in Him, He gives us His righteousness. This is the only way we can meet God’s standard of perfection.

Bible

The Bible is the sacred book of Christianity. It is a collection of religious texts that are used by Christians to guide their beliefs and practices. The Bible contains a lot of information about what God requires of His people.
