Introduction
A Prayer for Revival in the Church
Father, we long for revival in the church. We know that we cannot bring this about on our own, but we also know that You are a God of revival and that You are faithful to Your promises.
We pray for a fresh outpouring of Your Holy Spirit on Your people. We ask that You would grant us eyes to see our need for revival and hearts that are broken over our sin. Help us to turn from our wicked ways and to return to You with all our hearts.
We pray for a spirit of repentance and humility to fall on the church. May we be quick to confess our sins and slow to anger. Help us to put off all bitterness, rage, and harsh words, and to instead be kind and tender-hearted toward one another.
We pray for a renewed passion for holiness in the church. Help us to set our minds on things that are above, not on things that are earthly. may we put to death what is earthly in us so that we might live in Christ more fully.Grant us grace to live lives worthy of Your calling—lives marked by love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control.
And as we seek revival in the church, may we also be filled with a fresh desire to see lost sinners saved by the gospel of Jesus Christ. Grant us boldness as we proclaim the gospel both in word and deed so that many would come to repentance and faith in Christ. May Your church be a light shining in the darkness, pointing people toward eternity with You.
We pray all these things in Jesus’s name . Amen
The state of the church today
The state of the church today is in need of revival. We have become stagnant in our worship and our witness. We need to be rejuvenated by the power of the Holy Spirit.
God, we ask that you would send a spirit of revival to our churches. We pray that you would stir up our hearts and minds and inspire us to love and serve you more faithfully.
We need your help, O Lord. We are lost without you. We cannot do this on our own. We need your power working in us and through us.
Lord, revive your church! Send us your Spirit that we may be renewed and invigorated in our faith. Amen.
A call for revival

We need to see Christian homes being restored and marriages being saved. We need to see spiritual apathy turned into passionate zeal for the things of God. We need to see lukewarm professors made white hot by the fire of God’s love. We need to see Worldwide furniture
What is revival?
Revival is a work of God in which He brings His people back to Himself. It is a season of spiritual refreshing and revival fires burning. It is a move of God’s Spirit in the hearts of His people, resulting in repentance, spiritual awakening, and a desire to obey God. As we see in the Scriptures, revival is never something that just happens; it is always preceded by pray Revival is a work of God in which He brings His people back to Himself. What is needed for revival?
There is no one answer to this question. Each situation is unique and the Holy Spirit will reveal what is needed for that particular time and place. However, there are some general principles that can be applied to any situation.
- Prayer – Revival always starts with prayer. If we are serious about seeing revival in our churches, then we must be serious about prayer. We need to pray for revival, but we also need to pray for ourselves. Revival will not come if we are not surrendered to God and seeking His face.
- Humility – Pride is a major obstacle to revival. We need to humble ourselves before God and seek His forgiveness for our prideful ways. We also need to ask Him to search our hearts and show us any areas where we need to change.
3) Repentance – Revival will not come unless there is repentance. We need to repent of our sin and turn away from it. We also need to repent of any wrong attitudes or perspectives that might be keeping us from God’s best.
4) Faith – Revival requires faith. We need to have faith that God can do the impossible in our lives and in our churches. We also need to have faith that He wants to revive us and use us in a mighty way.
5) obedience – Revival will only come if we are obedient to God’s Word and His leading. We need to be willing to do whatever He asks of us, even if it seems difficult or impossible.
Prayer for revival
We long for revival in the church. We want to see our congregations grow and people coming to faith in Christ. We want to see a return to biblical preaching and teaching, and a commitment to prayer and evangelism.
Revival is a work of God. It is a sovereign work of His Spirit whereby He sovereignly chooses to bring about a spiritual awakening in His people. It is not something we can manufacture or create on our own. We must humble ourselves before God and plead with Him for revival.
This revival prayer guide is designed to help you do just that. It includes prayers for personal revival, church revival, and national revival. We hope it will be a helpful tool as you seek the face of God for spiritual awakening in your life, your church, and your nation.
Conclusion
We have seen throughout Scripture that God is a God of revival. When His people are walking in disobedience and are far from Him, He often sends revival to bring them back to Himself. We see this happen over and over again, and it is always a beautiful thing to witness.
If you are sensing a need for revival in your own life, or in the church, I encourage you to start by praying. Prayer is always the first step, and it is so important. Revival begins with prayer, and we need to be on our knees begging God for it.
Are you ready for revival? Are you willing to do whatever it takes? Remember, revival starts with you. As we surrender our lives fully to God and yield to His Spirit, He will begin to work in us and through us to bring about the change that is needed.
