Books that Mention Jesus
Jesus is mentioned in many books, both old and new. He is a central figure in Christianity, and his teachings have influenced billions of people throughout the centuries. Here are just a few of the many books that mention Jesus.
The Bible
What would a list of books about Jesus be without the Bible? This is the most well-known and, for Christians, the most important book that mentions Jesus. The Bible is actually a collection of books, 66 in the Protestant version and 73 in the Catholic version. It is divided into two main sections: the Old Testament and the New Testament. The Old Testament tells the story of God’s people before Jesus was born and includes some prophecies about him. The New Testament tells the story of Jesus’ life, death, and resurrection.
The Da Vinci Code
The Da Vinci Code by Dan Brown mentions Jesus in a couple of scenes. In one, the protagonist, Robert Langdon, is looking at a painting of the Last Supper and notices that there is no wine on the table. He then realizes that this must be because Jesus turned water into wine at the wedding at Cana. In another scene, Langdon is looking at a painting of the Crucifixion and notices that there is no cross in the background. He then realizes that this must be because Jesus was crucified in front of a crowd of people and not alone on a hill.
The Hunger Games
The Hunger Games, by Suzanne Collins, is a young adult novel that was published in 2008. The book is set in a dystopian society and follows the story of Katniss Everdeen, a 16-year-old girl who is forced to compete in a televised fight to the death.
Although the book does not mention Jesus by name, there are several Christian themes that are evident throughout the story. These themes include self-sacrifice, hope, and love.
The character of Katniss Everdeen is able to demonstrate these themes through her actions and her relationships with other characters in the novel. By sacrificing her own safety for the sake of her sister, Katniss shows her willingness to put others before herself. This act of selflessness is something that Jesus Christ himself did when he died on the cross for the sins of humanity.
In addition, Katniss also provides hope for those who are living in a dark and oppressive world. Her courage and determination inspire others to fight for their own freedom, even when all hope seems lost. This theme of hope is also found in the Bible, particularly in the book of Isaiah.
Finally, through her relationships with other characters such as Peeta Mellark and Haymitch Abernathy, Katniss is able to show the power of love. Despite the violence and brutality that surrounds her, she is still able to maintain her sense of humanity by caring for others. This theme of love is one that is also found throughout the Bible, especially in the New Testament.
The Hunger Games is a complex novel with many layers of meaning. Although it does not mention Jesus by name, there are still several Christian themes that are evident throughout the story.

You might be surprised to know that there are actually a lot of different books that cover various aspects of his life. While some are more biographical in nature, others focus on his teachings and what he did during his time on earth.
The Life of Jesus
Life of Jesus may refer to:
-The Nativity of Jesus, the account of the birth of Jesus in the gospels of Matthew and Luke
-The childhood of Jesus, accounts of the young life of Jesus in the gospels of Matthew and Luke
-The ministry of Jesus, accounts of the public ministry of Jesus in the gospels of Mark, Matthew, Luke and John
-The Passion of Jesus, accounts of the final days leading up to the crucifixion and death of Jesus in the gospels of Matthew, Mark, Luke and John
-Resurrection appearances of Jesus, accounts in the gospels and Acts where people claim to have seen Jesus alive after his crucifixion
The Gospel of Matthew
Matthew is the first book of the New Testament and tells the story of Jesus Christ. Matthew was written by an anonymous author, thought to be a Jew living in Palestine, sometime between 70 and 110 CE. The book was intended for a Jewish audience and covers Jesus’ birth, his teachings, his miracles, his death and resurrection. Matthew is the only gospel that includes the Genealogy of Jesus Christ, which traced his lineage all the way back to Abraham.
The Gospel of John
The Gospel of John is one of the four canonical gospels in the New Testament. It was allegedly written by John the Apostle, one of Jesus’ twelve disciples. The text does not name its author, but by late ancient times some Christians began to attribute it to John the Apostle. Modern scholars generally believe that the work was composed in Greek, though there is some evidence that it may have originally been written in Aramaic.
The Gospel of John recounts Jesus’ public ministry, including his miracle of feeding the five thousand, hisFoot washing and Farewell Discourse, and finally, his trial and crucifixion. The narrative culminates in Jesus’ empty tomb, his resurrection appearances, and an extended discussion of his divinity.

The Book of Revelation
The Book of Revelation is the final book of the Bible. It reveals Jesus Christ’s victory over Satan and God’s judgment on Satan, the world, and sinful mankind. The book was written by the Apostle John while he was in exile on the island of Patmos.
The Gospel of Thomas
The Gospel of Thomas is a collection of 114 sayings of Jesus, some with parallels in the canonical Gospels and some without. The work is generally dated to the mid-2nd century, though a 2nd-century date cannot be ruled out with certainty. It was discovered near Nag Hammadi, Egypt, in December 1945 among a group of books known as the Nag Hammadi library
The Gospel of Judas
The Gospel of Judas is a Gnostic gospel that was discovered in Egypt in the 1970s. The gospel presents Judas Iscariot as a positive figure who was instructed by Jesus to hand him over to the authorities. The text also claims that Judas was the only one of the disciples who truly understood Jesus.
