Plot

Plot
Anna is a 10 year old who lives with her parents, Kevin and Christy Beam, and her two sisters in Burleson, Texas. She attends Brownwood Elementary School. Despite having a loving family and good friends, she suffers from a rare, incurable disorder called pseudo-obstruction motility disorder, which prevents her from digesting food properly. As a result, she has to be fed through a feeding tube and is not able to live a normal life like other kids her age.
One day, while playing with her friends, she falls out of a tree and is rushed to the hospital. Her parents are relieved when they find out that she only has a bruised liver and will be okay. However, during a CAT scan, it is discovered that Anna has a tumor on her pancreas. Christy and Kevin are devastated when they learn that the tumor is inoperable and that their daughter only has three months to live.
The family tries to make the most of the time they have left with Anna. However, things take a turn for the worse when she starts vomiting blood and loses consciousness. She is rushed back to the hospital where she is placed on life support. Christy and Kevin are told that there is nothing more the doctors can do for their daughter and that they should start making arrangements for her funeral.
However, against all odds, Anna wakes up from her coma and tells her parents that she was in Heaven while she was unconscious. She describes in great detail what Heaven looks like and how amazing it was. This experience changes Anna’s life forever as well as the lives of those around her.
